Professor Moses John Bockarie is an Adjunct Professor at the School of Medical Sciences, Njala University, Sierra Leone, and Associate Editor of the International Journal of Infectious Diseases. He is a global health expert with extensive experience in biomedical research, academia, and public health, particularly in strengthening universities and disease control programs in Africa and the Pacific region. He holds a PhD in vector biology and malaria transmission from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), UK. His research on malaria and lymphatic filariasis spans Sierra Leone and Papua New Guinea. In 2005, he became a Visiting Professor at Case Western Reserve University, USA, and later served as Professor and Director of the Centre for Neglected Tropical Diseases at LSTM for eight years. In 2016, he was appointed as the Regional Director for Africa Director at EDCTP in Cape Town, South Africa. He currently advises WHO, Africa CDC, and other regional bodies, and has authored over 260 publications (h-index 65).
